Seasons Greetings KVAR affiliates,
 
    The good news keeps piling up for promoters of the KVAR Energy Controllers and the energy conservation achieved as more and more Americans add capacitors to their existing electrical systems.
 
     With over 350,000 units now installed and sales that have more than doubling for the third consecutive year, the KVAR EC is no longer a secret.  The first national TV commercial ran last week with additional advertising and an aggressive schedule of trade shows and other symposiums are planned for 2010.
 
     The government is also about to implement the CASH-FOR-CAULKERS program to pay for 50% of the cost of energy efficiency plans for homeowners.  Check out the link for more details:
 
     The KVAR web site has been completely overhauled to provide more up to date information to the public with special sections available to distributors to exchange information and success stories.  We have already had a sneak preview of the site and it is outstanding.  It will be open to the public by next Tuesday, December 15th at www.KVAR.com
 
     Like the dozens of distributors around the country, Energy Savers International, is compiling an ever increasing array of savings reports from our customers.  We now can estimate DEMAND CHARGE SAVINGS for commercial customers and have already seen that adding KVAR to industrial settings can save one to two thousand dollars per month in addition to the savings of KWH that our capacitors already provide to consumers.
 
     One of our  customers, Hoover Country Club in Hoover Al., a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama will be featured on and upcoming Fox News show in Birmingham.  Within five months of installation the country club has already recuperated the entire purchase price in energy savings and will experience those same continued savings without expense for the next 25 years.  What a great human interest and energy efficiency story.  Jerry Sandvick, Energy Savers International's president and Jack Turbeville the national training director for KVAR will be interviewed for the special on Thursday December 10th.

Thanksgiving’s approach offers the perfect opportunity to remember and appreciate all of your contributions to the success’s that the agents of Energy Savers International have achieved.  None of it would be possible without the efforts of the people behind the company.
We have all realized this year that KVAR Energy Controllers can actually make a difference in the lives and budgets of thousands of Americans.    Families are saving money and affiliates promoting the concept are earning extra dollars.
335,000 homes and businesses are currently saving money with KVAR installed and there still are no complaints at the better business bureau.   KVAR has been incorporated since 1992 and has never been sued.  Only two units have been returned to the factory for refunds.
The manufacturer purchased enough material to build twice as many units in 2010.  They also purchased the property adjacent to the current factory and have the ability to double current capacity to accommodate future growth.
In the near future, KVAR will open its own leasing division.  Currently we are using Belmont-Financial.com for our leasing needs.  In many cases the monthly lease payments are considerably less the guaranteed savings achieved with KVAR in their system.  Nothing could be more affordable for creditworthy customers.
During today’s weekly technical conference call, the subject of climate changes was discussed.  A great source for historical data is www.WeatherUnderground.com or www.nws.noaa.gov/ are both available to determine the temperature change from year to year in individual zip codes.
For example in Navarre, Florida the average high temperature in June of 2008 was 4 degrees warmer than 2009.  That is important data since each degree of increased temperatures can raise your electric bill by about 3%.  When customers are comparing 2008 bills to the 2009 bills that information is critical. 
Another energy fact that was discussed was the effect on a power bill that the addition of a large screen TV’s can have on the monthly bill.  Many of these popular home additions add $20 or more monthly to the bill!

Your national CNBC airing will be taking place this weekend in 90+ million households. Your scheduled air time in the 300+ markets will be Saturday October 31 2009 at 7:40 PM Eastern 6:40 PM Central 5:40 PM Mountain and 4:40 PM Pacific Time.  Please keep in mind that the airing could land anywhere within an hour of the above scheduled times. In the past they have typically aired within 15 minutes of the schedule. However they always remind us that times are subject to change until Logs are finalized and reconciled.

KVAR NEWS
October 21, 2009
During today’s distributors conference call with the KVAR home office we learned that three separate government agencies are preparing to endorse the KVAR Energy Controller.  They agree that it can improve the power factors of inductive motors which conserve energy.
While the 2001 Energy Star Certificate issued to the KVAR Energy Savings Corporation is not current, a new category to the Energy Star rating system is nearing its introduction.  When a new Energy Star Certificate is issued (in the near future) a number of government incentives will become available.
The Department of Energy is preparing to test KVAR in Nevada.  All of these programs are designed to get KVAR official endorsements that will be an important step to help bring KVAR further into the mainstream.
By the end of this month KVAR will have a new web site, the Eco Planet Film will air and KVAR Energy Savings Corp. will be starting a national advertizing campaign.
A new training program is being developed to make sure that all of the instructors in the field will be teaching the same marketing and sizing system to all of the distributors.
If anyone has a written and signed testimonial the factory is asking for a copy to submit to the Department of Energy along with hundreds of other testimonials to complete the endorsements.
Several municipal power suppliers are now implementing KVAR controllers to their systems.  Princeton Power Systems in New Jersey is about to endorse KVAR to 4,300 customers.  The city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has now ordered sizing for all city owned facilities in Myrtle Beach.
A new improvement at the home office now offers National Account Service for any large accounts in process.  The five person team will assist the agent to make the sale and the agent will receive all of the compensation.
The factory Technical Support Team is getting reinforcements to make it possible to immediately speak to a specialist without having to wait for a call back.
More announcements should be available next week including the addition of leasing KVAR directly from the factory.

The first KVAR Factory Sponsored Energy Symposium & Open House was held this week at KVAR world headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.  The new factory more than doubles the space for manufacturing and increases production capacity to 40,000 per month.  The expansive offices offer a complete training center plus conference space for V.I.P. presentations. State of the art communications facilities are in place.  Displays and graphics plus the KVAR archives are on display.  Everything from the original patents to letters of endorsement from Senators and other public official are on the walls.  One certificate on display is the award for being one of America’s TOP 100 privately owned companies.  The success of KVAR is no longer a secret.
CORPORATE PROFILE
KVAR’s financial strength is one of its strongest selling points.  The company currently keeps over Two Million Dollars of cash reserves on hand for operating expenses and expansion.  All of its assets including the patents, the inventory, manufacturing equipment, the training center itself, the company vehicles and the real estate are debt free.  The ability to keeping expenses low and avoiding interest payments in this day and age and this economy are primary reasons the KVAR energy controllers are so affordable.  The $399 PU1200 (single phase 200 amp) home unit is one of the best values in America.  With no debt, the manufacturing costs will continue to remain low since no interest on loans is present or contemplated in the near future.

SPEAKERS
Jim Hither, a partner of A1A Energy Savers spoke on the importance of a solid business plan for every distributor.  He explained the learning curve process that every distributor experiences and how product and technology education an ongoing process.  The key to a successful career promoting KVAR is directly proportionate to your ability to EDUCATE the PUBLIC of the benefits KVAR brings to society as a whole.  He also pointed out that self-criticism will rarely lead to self-improvement and more than likely may lead you to believing your own criticisms are true and become a self fulfilling prophecy.
Tim Flynn, the top distributor in New Jersey, is heading up our Green Energy Programs.  He spoke of the societal benefits and the benefits of establishing commercial accounts.  The more they consume the more air pollution KVAR can eliminate all the while reducing the need for power companies to produce more and more power. 
John Kadoty, a retired Lt. Colonel explained his selling philosophy which has resulted in a one hundred percent closing ratio.  He has never done a commercial sizing without making the sale!  He said the secret of his success is to always present to the ultimate decision maker and solicit their endorsement before speaking to any of the other principles in the business.
Senator Mitchell, retired, who spends a great deal of his time and efforts promoting KVAR in the political arena told of the behind the scenes efforts now well underway to bring KVAR into the main stream.  Thanks to his efforts and others in the KVAR family, the EPA, US Department of Energy, and Energy Star are now are well aware that KVAR works and is an effective way to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and dramatically reduces the air pollution from coal burning power plants.  It is now the policy of these government departments to prove somehow that KVAR does not work.  Before they took those agencies to task the opposite was true.  Senator Mitchell offered his services to any distributor that needs help or confirmation when dealing with other politicians.  He will shortly produce some documentation for our product manuals.  In the near future we will be assisted with new government energy incentives from both the power companies, the federal government and the Florida Energy and Efficiency Commission.  The public utilities commission are about to mandate new emission reductions from the power companies.  KVAR is a simple and cost effective tool and its benefits are becoming more obvious by the day.  We are nearing the time when an updated Energy Star certificate will be issued to replace our 2001 certification.
Jack Turbeville, owner of Central Florida KVAR who was last year’s top selling distributor demonstrated his complete selling presentation.  He included the proper use of the Demo kit and stressed the importance of closing the sale (i.e. asking for the order) as well as the time test – not overselling the product and talking the prospect into and then out of the purchase by rambling on and on and on.  This is a product that pays for itself and is best explained in 20 minutes or less.
Dan Morgan, owner of KVAR America Inc. from Palm City Florida who also serves as a regional training instructor discussed leasing.  Belmont Financial Services  and Pro Capitol offer excellent plans for your customers to keep their cash working while making monthly lease payments that are usually less than one half the guaranteed savings KVAR offers for commercial accounts.  After completing their lease (12 to 60 months) the customer buys the controllers for one dollar.
Dan also discussed the primary objection to a purchase.  It usually comes down to Money or Understanding.  The first key is the PERSON.  Who is explaining KVAR to the prospect is many times as important as how they explain and demonstrate the product is a key ingredient.  The second key is PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE.  Knowing how and why the KVAR Energy Controller saves money for consumers is the key here.  The way it is presented is also critical.  The overwhelming majority of sales are closed only after the KVAR Demonstration Kit is displayed and explained.  If you are not using the demo kit you may be missing many sales that would otherwise be made.
Most of you know of Lee Marino of Safewire Energy in Phoenix Arizona.  He has received celebrity status from his interview on Fox News – Deal or Dud video.  Lee’s sales boomed after that show aired and he subsequently advertized the product and that event.  His sales have exceeded ten thousand units in just two short years.  Lee is a 911 survivor and moved to Phoenix after that tragic event.  He explained the process to put Deal or Dud on the air.  After the filming a 34 day study was done by the Fox News station.  It turns out every source mentioned or in print was checked out for accuracy, even the NASA study.  Lee was quite nervous during the waiting period since he did not know until the airing weather it would be rated as a DEAL or a DUD, as 98% of the products tested were rated a DUD!  It was discovered that not a single negative report surfaced during their study that included an engineering study by Arizona State University.  Safewire currently has 12 full time installers and they are putting several thousand KVAR’s in service each month.  His phone staffs are receiving a large call in volume from many of your prospects from around the country.  They are probably responsible for thousands of sales for other distributors when those calls come in and they repeat the findings.
Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR was the key note speaker.  He unveiled the new KVAR logo that will be used on all new literature and promotional material.  The slogan beneath the logo is simply   SAVINGS FROM THE SOURSE.
Steve’s philosophy is that the best way to help promote KVAR as the manufacturer is to create public awareness of this revolutionary product.  Their hard work continues to make it easier every day for the distributor network.  The results are becoming more and more obvious from the sales figures.  Last year the wholesale volume of sales was 5.6 million dollars (up 600% from the previous year) this year’s sales will exceed 13 million dollars.  All of this is happening during a very difficult economic climate.
The KVAR.com website now conforms to a series the suggestions from the US Energy Department.  When contacted about the validity of adding capacitance to electrical systems, the EPA, the US Department of Energy and its Energy Star division will now say that our process is real and energy savings will occur when KVAR is properly installed for more than 98% of the electrical systems in America.  The home page of the web site states that the KVAR Power Factor Optimization Devices will:
·         Provide between 3% to 5% of kWh savings at the meter for residential
·         Improve commercial applications by  8% to 10%
·         Industrial applications will improve by 10% to 15%.
Remember these are kWh reductions and in Florida the rate for each kWh is thirteen cents.  While these numbers are less than the results that many applications are obtaining they are predictions that can be supported by the Dept. of Energy.  Exaggerations are not needed and results do vary, but it is important to note that every installation will pay for itself; the only variable is the number of months of savings needed to return the original installation and purchase price.   Every unit is guaranteed to pay for itself in 36 months or less (which is a 6% monthly savings).  The average installation pays if in about 14 months with some as soon as 2 months.
We know this to be true when Lee Morino told us the story of his company switching his credit card provider to Bank of America.   When they were literally overwhelmed with credit card purchases they froze his account with over $50,000 in limbo.  After the Bank consulted with the Department of Energy to find out if KVAR was a scam or real they gave KVAR a big thumbs up and the funds were immediately released.
These and other stories and certainly helping to move KVAR into the Mainstream.
TRAIN CENTER WORKSHOP
All of the attendees got a firsthand demonstration from David Wise of the new training center.  We saw numerous motors from soft starts to variable frequency drives that were connected the Harmonic Analyzers and we viewed power factors improvements, amp drops and harmonic distortions under a variety of loads.  This is the location and back drop for the three day comprehensive training sessions that are conducted monthly.
Technical Conference Call
Once a week, KVAR Energy Savings Corporation sponsors a Technical Support Call for all of its distributors worldwide.  This is there opportunity to discuss everything from unusual installations, sizing questions, sales & marketing questions and get answers directly from David Wise, owner of A1A Energy Savers a major distributor for KVAR who also serves as the chief electrical engineer for the company.  Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR and principle stockholder of the manufacturing company is a regular on the call.  He always updates the network of distributors and dealers with distribution data as well as the political processes underway to take KVAR into the mainstream of the electrical community.  KVAR’s ultimate goal is to make KVAR a household word as well as to have it installed on nearly every home and business in America.  Canada and England already have KVAR available.  The manufacturing facility in England supplies all of Europe as well as the Middle East.  KVAR’s Washington lobbyists are currently arranging loans to third world countries, thru the World Bank, to produce and distribute KVAR in places that energy is not abundant and efficiency with the power supply available is of national importance.  These loans are then forgiven when the program has been implemented.

Once a week, KVAR Energy Savings Corporation sponsors a Technical Support Call for all of its distributors worldwide.  This is there opportunity to discuss everything from unusual installations, sizing questions, sales & marketing questions and get answers directly from Greg Taylor, the inventor of KVAR as well as David Wise, chief electrical engineer plus hear from Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR.  During the July 21st call we learned several new things.  Here is a sampling of this week’s news.
During a recent vacation stop at Mt. Rushmore, Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR Energy Savings Corp. noticed a group of people actu ally climbing on the monument on Abraham Lincoln’s face.  It turned out it was Greenpeace unveiling a large banner that simply said “STOP GLOBAL WARMING”.

While contemplating the future of the corporation Steve decided that the timing is now correct to make every effort to take KVAR Energy Controllers into the “mainstream”.  Several efforts are now underway to do just that.
The first of many steps to boost public awareness of the KVAR savings will include national=2 0advertisements including television.  There is a new show that has already been filmed for Eco Planet that is expected to educate the public to the benefits of KVAR Energy Controllers.  Twenty-two million viewers are expected to watch the show and copies will be made available for distributors.
While Energy Star has not publicly endorsed KVAR since 2001, a new invigorated effort is now being made to update our Energy Star Certificate from 2001 to 2009.  The problem lies with the categories that Energy Star now includes.  We do not fit into any of them.  They are currently working on a new category to include the optimization of power factors for inductive motors.  Once we receive a new certificate there are many benefits available including the ability to simplify and document the IRS energy tax credits that are currently available.  We also are actively involved in a new spec-dynamics study for both the EPA and the US Dept. of Energy.  While Energy Star does n ot endorse any specific companies, we will probably be the only savings device of our kind to get a certificate since we are the patent holders for the “Optimization of Power Factors”.  The imposter competitors for KVAR will not be able to verify the authenticity of their products since they are using technology that has been pirated from KVAR in many cases.
A KVAR distributor and electrical engineer that have established an account with a major New York City hospital conducted a KVAR test on their boiler room using a metered system and realized a 29% reduction in kWh.
Another distributor announces that the US military is currently running a test of KVAR at Area 23 to determine it’s suitability for military applications.
The City of Deland, Florida is having KVAR Energy Controllers installed on some of their facilities this week.  The join dozens of municipal users in making the effort to reduce costs for the pub lic and reduce carbon emissions.
One final tip we got involved the application of KVAR to expensive commercial motors that have potential customers asking if there is any chance that KVAR will damage their motors.  The simple solution is to note the brand and model number of the motor, then go to the manufactures website and inquire as to how the addition of capacitors to the motor would affect the warranty.  Also ask where capacitors like KVAR can be safely added to the system.  We already know where to install the KVAR however their reply will literally be viewed as an endorsement for the product.  After all the KVAR will increase the lifespan of their motors which makes them look better to their customers?
On a local level, our sizing apparatus has been in constant use since we purchased it just over a month ago.  We have sized over 40 commercial accounts.  We now have KVAR installed commercially on a church, a medical center, several convenience stores, a Subway restaurant, an Olympic pool co mplex, a Mexican restaurant, a Seafood restaurant and a major private country club.  In the near future we are adding an indoor racquet club, municipal water and sewer facilities and several large buildings with large energy consumption.  I have been getting savings reports ranging from 17% to 40% from our customers.  Additionally, we have dozens of new customers for the residential units added to our base over the past few weeks.
It was commonly agreed that the secret to success in the KVAR business was to EDUCATE the CUSTOMER.

June 2009

June was by far the most successful month ever for Energy Savers International associates.  Our sales growth rate is mirroring the overall growth of the KVAR Energy Savers Corp.  Hugh increases month by month.  We thank you all for doing your part to achieve these results.


We also made four trips to the new manufacturing and training center in Daytona Beach, Florida in June.  Everyone visiting came away impressed by the environmental commitment of Gregory Taylor, the inventor of the revolutionary KVAR Energy Controller and the KVAR Patented Sizing Apparatus.


Visitors were equally impressed with Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR.  His business savvy and marketing expertise are taking KVAR to a whole new level.  Before Steve arrived, KVAR was manufacturing about one million dollarsWe now exceed that volume every month.  A second manufacturing facility was added this year in England to supply our European distributors.  A third manufacturing facility was just licensed in the US which gives us the ability to meet the growing demand for this great product.


Steve and others with KVAR are working diligently with Energy Star to renew our 2001 Energy Star Certificate of Recognition.  We are not currently listed with them, only because they do not have a separate category for Energy Controllers.  The job is to get them to add that category or a similar location to rate and list KVAR.  We are working with the US Department of Energy to expedite a new certificate as it will help us with other municipal and state wide endorsements and also helpget a separate listing on the Energy Credit Forms for the IRS.


More testimonials are arriving daily, like the RV Resort that recently added KVAR and reports a kWh drop of 31.6% which saved them $224 in just one month.  That unit paid for itself in just 7 weeks.

Yesterday a State Senator and several State Representatives toured the KVAR factory and sat in on the weekly distributor conference call.  To say the least, the were very impressed with the product and the network of distributors around the country.  Their first comment was - "Where have we (KVAR) been?"  The second observation was -  "This product is needed NOW!"


Congratulations to Rick Sirmon, from Birmingham for meeting with and getting the KVAR message directly to US Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama.  We are working to get Greg Taylor to make a personal visit to Senator Sessions office and to meet with several other Senators and Governors to get them to help us spread the word.  Everyone is enthusiastic about the conservation philosophy of the KVAR Energy Savings Corp (wholesale price) of KVAR custom and panel units per year.  It will be a household word in a relatively short period of time.


Energy Savers International agents have been pursuing the large energy users with our new custom Sizing Apparatus and Harmonic Analyzer and Data Logger.  These high tech systems allow us to graphically display the Power Factor and energy usage for commercial applications.  It was tested at one of the largest tourist attractions in the southeast.  The results show that a KVAR installation could totally pay for itself in less than 4 months and save them over $100,000 per month net for the next 25 years!!!


Let's all get active and start saving our own environment.  The average US household produces ten tons of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere each year.  We can reduce that by aoubt 25% or two and one half tons per household per year.  Multiply that by the One Million KVAR customers that we will have using the product in the next few years and the effect is dramatic.


Ralph Cicerone, president of the nation's top science organization, the National Academy of Sciences (2,100 of the nations top researchers) claims that people release about 8 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year, while the earth can only absorb about 3 billion tons.  He said it..."is changing the planetary energy budget very rapidly in a very significant way."

During the June 9th Conference Call between KVAR Dealers from all over the country we learned several new things.  Here is a sampling of this week’s news.
We got a report from Tim Flynn a KVAR distributor who has been working on getting KVAR installed on a number of motors in a major U.S. city for months.  The city finally demanded that Tim prove mathematically that a KVAR installation will save money for the city.  The sizing’s indicated a savings to the city of $110,000 annually. Additionally, he had to also explain why the city’s own electrical engineers only never heard of the KVAR Energy Savings Corporation and why they say it will not save the city money.

Tim started by getting the exact specifications from the manufacturers of the motors in question.  After reviewing all the findings and spending 3 months in the process it all came down to a misinterpretations of Ohms’ Law, which simply states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference or voltage across the two point, and inversely proportional to the resistance between them.  Well maybe it’s not that simple, however Tim was able to determine that the city’s engineers were adding the resistance as you would for a parallel circuit when in reality the circuit was in series (where all of the components in the series needed to be added together).  This simple correction in the mathematics allowed him to prove to the city the savings.
Tim went on to explain to the city that  due to the tremendous increases in the cost of electricity of the past few years, that few engineers had taken the time to research the effect of optimization of the powe r factors for the their inductive motors.  Additionally, most of the members of the scientific community were unaware of the research and development that Greg Taylor (inventor of the KVAR Energy Controller) had spent 17 years of his life perfecting.  Now that electric costs per kWh have become much more significant and the KVAR Energy Savings Corporation has been purchased by Steve Fish whose goal is to take this product, not only throughout the USA but also to take it international.  The effect that a massive reduction in energy consumption would have on the atmosphere is enormous.  Millions of KVAR applications around the world could have a major influence.  After all, the average for a single household in America produces nearly 10 tons of carbon emission annually.
Tim referred the engineers to Ugly’s Electrical Handbook on pages 3, 5 and 72 to confirm his mathematical finding.  We can all be proud to have another major city on board with KVAR.
Another distributor from Fort Smith, Arkansas told of his latest installation to the police department there and now they are getting ready to add KVAR to the other city owned facilities.  They are also working diligently to get Wal-Mart headquarters in nearby Bentonville to start using KVAR throughout their massive distribution facilities.
In New England, a 25 year old ice skating rink has reported the lowest kWh usage in their history since KVAR was installed last year.  Their annual electric costs went from $42,000 to $31,000 with KVAR in the system.   The results dramatically exceeded the estimates and the installation quickly paid for itself.
Steve Fish, CEO of KVAR announced that our new 26,000 square foot manufacturing facility is putting people to work in an era of enormous layoffs and plant closin gs.  He is working closely with Senator Richard Mitchell to promote KVAR to help make American industry more cost effective.
The question of bidding for municipal applications came up and the solution was to inform the government agencies involved that KVAR is a Sole Source Purchase.  Because of its patented technology it cannot be duplicated.  A copy of the patent was also helpful.  It is available online.
The KVAR factory is currently tracking over 35,000 home units to provide more data.  A large number of commercially installed units are also being monitored.  While we explain to our prospective users that nearly every application will pay for itself within 36 months (through energy costs savings), that the actual number is currently 15.7 months.
The new ECO-PLANET video is now completed.  The air date will be announced shortly and about 22 million people are expected to view it.  The KVAR Energy Controller is the feature of the show we are talking about.
Sales for 2009 are now expected to more the double sales in 2008, which was by far the best year ever.  The company is totally debt free, including their new factory which was purchased for cash.
It was commonly agreed that the secret to success in the KVAR business was to EDUCATE the CUSTOMER.

KVAR FACTORY TOUR

On May 19th, twenty-two KVAR agents of the Energy Savers International (ESI) team visited the new manufacturing facility of the KVAR Energy Savings Corporation.  The new factory will increase production capacity to 40,000 Energy Controllers per month.  It nearly triples the floor space of the existing facility and allows a spacious training space as well as room for new product development.  The facility holds a great new national training center.  If you would like to take a tour you will need advance reservations so please call Jerry Sandvick, distributor and President of Energy Savers International, to make arrangements.
The team members present represented five of the thirteen states the ESI team has already expanded to.  Three master electricians were trained to professionally size large commercial accounts.
We were cordially greeted by Gregory Taylor, the inventor of the revolutionary KVAR Energy Controller.  Greg was recently nominated to the National Inventors Hall of Fame.  Greg spent over an hour explaining the circumstances and the steps that led to his invention and eventual patenting of the device.  He also presented the KVAR demonstration kit and we were able to film Greg himself measuring the Power Factor with and without KVAR in the system.  He also showed the drop in billable power by 70% using an electrician’s amp meter.  He personally explained and demonstrated the entire sizing procedure to our group and especially our master electricians.
Greg took a brand new motor out of the box and measured its power factor at about .44 (meaning 44% efficiency).  Utilizing the patented sizing equipment he was able to determine the correct KVAR Energy Controller (from the 93 models available) to optimize the power factor to .99.  The amp draw from one motor alone went from drawing 19 amps to drawing a mere 6 amps.  Multiply that reduction by the dozens of inductive motors in a factory and you can easily see how a dramatic savings can be realized.
Steve Fish, CEO of the KVAR Energy Savers Corporation, spent several hours discussing the company.  He detailed the company history and his purchase of the company three years ago.  Wholesale sales volume in 2008 exceeded 2007 sales by over 600%.  2009 sales are currently running over $1,000,000 per month which is a 700% increase from 2008!  There are currently over 200,000 KVAR Energy Controllers operating in the US and Canada.  There is not a single complaint filed with the better business bureau.  While every unit has a performance guarantee, not a single unit has been returned.
Steve told us of meetings with representatives of the Energy Department in Washington and several meetings just last week that he and Greg Taylor had in Chicago with prominent members of the Illinois State Legislature.  The KVAR system has been explained to President Barack Obama and we expect to receive more assistance from local, state and the federal governments to help save our environment by conserving the energy we already have.  It is the only method of energy efficiency available with NO DOWN SIDE.  Every one of the options available to us as a nation has significant challenges, including costs, technology and cost efficiency issues.  KVAR is the single exception.
